Ron, Im not sure what you're talking about in terms of a gasket. I looked all over for the original flat rubber gasket and couldnt find it anywhere. If you've already got some other sort of gasket in there then I suppose you're okay.
However, RTV is NOT a quality gasket material for this application. You will, and a guarantee it, blow that RTV out of that intake hat when its under extreme load.

It's a fiber type of material. No silly cone in it. It held up fairly well considering the abuse I put it thru.

The Banks box and the intake I had on the truck were tight enuogh of a fit that I'd be concerned about cutting the oring just trying to get it seated properly.

Just my $.02 wrth.

I had some stamped out of a boiler gasket awsome stuff. 5 1/8 inside 1/4 inch wide 1/8 thick or so.
