Good afternoon,
How can i find out what front and rear diffs i have on my truck?

All I know is I have a 1992 (after march 92) F350 4x4 with the EOD auto transmission. I have manual hubs on the front (old school). This is a F350 SRW crew cab

Thanks
Fletcher

There are small tags bolted to the diff. Well, there was when it was built. Mine are still there. They will have series of ID #s stamped on them. {4.10, 3.55, ect} Being 4x4 mine says 3.55 on the rear and 3.54 on the front axle. If yours has 4.11 on the rear it may be 4.10 on the front. I think they have to be slightly different due to gear lag, I believe. A number of other members can explain it much better than I can.

92 F350 will have a Dana 60 front axle and Sterling 10.25 rear axle. Check your door tag code for gear ratio code and google it. You can check the rear diff cover as well. There should be a tag on it.

It's E4OD btw.

Is the Sterling rear end a good one or did it have problems

I think the Dana front should be solid

Dana 60 is good, very popular to swap into other vehicles for offroad builds. The 91.5 and down were better because they had king pins instead of BJs but not really an issue.

Sterling is a very good rear axle. Strong as hell. I only recall 1 incident where a rear axle was broken after a lot of abuse in the rocks with a locker and huge tires. The new F2/350s use a newer version which is the sterling 10.5 with disk brakes.
