truck smoking

hey everybody, im a newbie to this scene. i went out and bought an 06 dually, single cab 2wd 6spd and i love it. it has some upgrades like an edge box, intake, and open exhaust. my question is, how can i make my truck let out black smoke from the tailpipe? i read somewhere about a smoke switch.... how does that work? thanks

smoke is simply unburnt fuel, add more fuel via a chip or program box is the best way

yea, i have an edge box with a toggle switch with 3 positions on it. is that what your talking about?
