I have a trailer brake controller and the harness to plug it in under the dash. Isn't there a relay that I need to install inthe under-hood fuse box to make this work? How can I test the circut to make sure the controller is working properly?

you have the piece to plug in under the dash--so did my 94--the only problem was that it never had the trailer tow pack--hence no wire to rear of pickup--had to get the right prongs and wire to get it in---this in the block thru the firewall---soooooo the two relays are in a box by themselves--by the fuse box--mine had no trailer charge wire either---cuss

Hmmmm... well, I thought that if it had the under dash plug then it had the trailer tow package.... maybe not.
