Seem to be having a hit/miss occourance with what I think to be a TPS problem.

Anyone got the wires to check? and min/max ohms?

Well..........Driving in heavy traffic and rowing thru the gears
like a soccer mom making lunch plans:D ......around 1700/2000 turns, seems to drop rpms and then "catch" again.

If I drive some what nermal, shifting out at 2000/2500 turns with a heavy foot........no problem.

And this is as infrequent as it can be. sometime 2/3 times a day
other times once a week.

Last occourance pulled into a parking lot at slowly-as possible with this fly by wire throttle- brought up the turns and hit that \ "dead area" where it would just fall off , then catch itself and continue to act normal.

Methinks if the CPS was throwing a 7, I'd be dead in the water by now so I'm leaning towards the TPS.

BTW, when this dead pedal occours, the tach stays true............
and I believe the tach is the key to a CPS failure..correct?

What cha' thinn there Hamster :D :confused: :D

Yeah your right about that George.

It sounds to me like you are on the right track.


Here is some info that may help you.

Throttle angle Degrees / Voltage
0 / .65
10 / .97
20 / 1.30
30 / 1.50
45 / 2.37
53 / 2.84
60 / 3.20
70 / 3.60

Values may vary by 15%


The best way to check this would be using a graphing volt meter or scope meter

According to the wiring diagram I am looking at you need to connect the black lead from your volt meter to the yellow wire with the black stripe and the red lead to the gray wire with the white stripe at the sensor.

I would make the connections and than go driving around until it acts up and then see what your voltage looks like. When accelerating the voltage should increase smoothly and the same when you decelerate, the voltage should drop smoothly if it doesn't you have found the culprit.

Those were the #'s / wiring sch I've been looking for!

Hasn't happend in a couple days.......is this normal of a TPS failure?
