That's a good story.
Those hills thru MO must have worked her pretty hard. No different that the hills in IA, had you come back on I-80 though. Either way, thru PA you had to deal with hills.I towed a Case 480E backhoe/loader from Montrose, CO to NJ with my then 1986 6.9 F250 Super Cab 4x2 with a four speed manual trans. I took I-80w going out, and I-70E on the way home.
Whoever told you that was spreading crap...I have to ask I have a 6.9 some one said something about cracking #4
I have a f-super duty 15000 Grose on the truck are saying that the 6.9 will bust if run hard and haul heavy that's why I am building this truck
