Thermostat housing bolt dimensions

About a year ago I was lucky enough to have the head of one of my housing bolts spin off. My luck increased as I broke the tip of an extractor off in the headless bolt. Anyways long story short I pulled a new housing from the yard and put in weak bolts that I was unable to tighten down to spec as they would snap. I need to go buy higher grades of the same bolts as I've developed a leak at the housing.... Surprise it lasted this long to be honest.... Specially using the wrong thermo and no rtv....I've come a long way in the past year lol
