Hey yall my buddy at work has a 2000 F-250 7.3L DIT. He asked me today to look up on here about his tailgate. There are a dozen or so of those torx screws that hold on the plastic bedliner to the tailgate. They keep loosening and tightening doesnt work for long. Appearently they are just screwing into sheet metal and the holes are expanding. Anybody had this problem? Any solutions?

If they aren't stripped out, blue or red lock tight should help or even a dab of clear silicone.

Heh heh heh......yep. They have little bosses that they thread into, kinds like a nut but thinner. A little BLUE loctite is what you want here....Red is too strong and Greed is WAY too strong. Blue! Blue! Blue!!! lol

Clean the threads as best as you can for best results.

I take a mig welder and make one small tack on the side. Once you tighten them in after that they won't loosen till you want them to.
