I have a 91 7.3 IDI. When I fill the tank w/fuel it will not crank back up. After I try to start it over and over the batteries finally start to die. I let it sit for about 4 hrs. them put some jumper cables on it and it will start. :dunno Any feed back?

If it only happens when the engine is warm then it could very well be the injection pump. How many miles on the injection pump? Does this happen when cold? Do You use any fuel additive.

Is it only when you add fuel; or, does it do it any time the engine is warm ??

Well if it where air then this could happen every time but as You said it happens when the engine (and IP) is warm and this is a common symptom of a slow dieing IP.
