If you ain't scared, not even a little bit, you're not going as fast as you can. Dale Earnhart Sr. RIP
YOUR vehicles top speed is limited by your final drive ratio, tire size, tire speed rating, max RPM and if you has the HP & TQ to get to those speeds.
My 2000 F350 has a top speed of 93 MPH at 3000 RPM with 4.10 gears, 31" tires and a .73 overdrive and enough power to do it all day long if my tires could take it. She ain't fast but she is fairly quick doing 0-60 in about 6 seconds.
My 1990 F350 N/A IDI was geared for 133 MPH IIRC with 3.08 gears 31" tires etc... butcouldn't do it, it struggled to get past 90 due to lack of power and quite frankly that truck was a bit scary to drive at those speeds on these twisty county roads here.
