I am considering swapping an IDI in place of a tired 350sbc in a 77 Short box k10. I did some research and it seemed I could buy a diesel t19 bellhousing and put it on the 465? If so what needs to change on the input shaft and other parts?

i wish my SM465 wasnt burried.
if it bolts to the bell housing, i would say nothing more than a pilot bearing
the length would need to be looked at

lemme go see how burred it is.

if im not back in 10,
wait longer

edit: wayyy buried.

The input shaft length is the same, and it is 1/16th larger in diameter compared to the t19
