I have found a rear ended I might swap into my truck if everything goes right.
Here is what I have found. A 98 model e-450 church bus that, from all I can tell, has a Dana 80 with disc brakes.
Here are my questions.
It appears this rear end is 5 inches overall wider than my sterling. 2 and a half inches per side doesn't seem too much wider and shouldn't stick out from under my fenders too bad. Ideas?
Spring perches are obviously going to need to be narrowed as well. I got that. No problem. As well as shock mounts.
Will the rear end sending unit swap over? I am going to do some research to see if the sending unit is the same. I don't want to lose my speedometer.
Will the f-superduty master cylinder I have be enough for the massive rear calipers this thing has, or will. Need to try to adapt a different m/c?
Thoughts?
