AC will remove water from the air when used with heater. This will help remove the inside fog on the windows. Normal operation.

My question is does it actually cycle or does it stay engaged and keep running. I ask because I have a friend who has a 94 PSD. His A/C compressor was always running even with the power wires unplugged. You could tap on the clutch and watch powdered rust fall out. I told him to buy a new clutch. Of course he didn't and it locked up on him. He found a new compressor and put the whole thing on. He was kicking himself for that one.

It cycles as expected, makes cold air, and drops condensate.
I need to play with it some while I flush the rad.
Today it seems to not cycle in vent position.
I have not made notes yet to see *** is up.
Thanx guys, keep it coming.

It's not supposed to cycle in vent mode. The compressor is only used in max a/c (cab air recirculation), normal a/c (takes in outside air) and defrost (needs dried air to defog the windshield). If the compressor clutch is constantly cycling on/off rapidly but, still gets the cab cold check the gap between the spring plate and friction material. If the gap is too big you may need to pull the clutch and remove a shim washer or two. Or just replace the clutch. I forget the gap but there is a minimum and maximum for it.

It runs in mix not in vent not in floor.
Sounds like it may be working right...
Now the e brake light stays on again...

The E-Brake light could be the vacuum sensor in the area of the drivers battery one the OBS. If it.s bad, or thinks there is a vacuum problem, the it will light the light. Or the switch on the E-Brake is stuck on. The only other thing that turns that light on is a hydraulic failure (blown line or caliper/wheel cylinder). There is a pressure sensor in the line, and if it sees a quick pressure change, it will turn the light on.

HI bet you hit it on the head, I hear a noise in the belt drive, either the new enclosed tensioner I did a few k back, or the vacc pump.
Gunna go investigate the vacc. Pod switch and see about how it triggers the light.

Thanx scott
