Hey guys i was wondering if a plow off of a 96 f150 with a 351 4x4 would fit a 86 f350 2x4 with a 6.9 diesel -OR- a 94 f250 4x4 with a powerstroke. are the frames the same width apart?

The frames are the same width but they are completly different.. The 96 F150 frame is closest to the 94 F250 frame but they are different. The f150 has a built in crumple zone while the f250 does not. And IIRC there is a differnt plow frame for the F150 than the F250. Well the western and Fisher have different mounts. Dont know about others

, anyways this guy has a plow mounted to an f150 in my area but i guess the tranny or something is shot and he just wants it gone. If i can make it work, i wan to get the plow as welll as a bunch of other parts, does anyone know 100% if it will work or not? Id prefer to put it on the 86 if possible.

The 86 has the same frame width but you will be modifing the frame to work. the 92-97 f-series have the plow frame actually hang of the top of the frame to carry the weightwhile the 80-91 it bolts to the side of the frame to carry the weight
