I forget Heath, how many years did that take you? As this thread continues, maybe folks should point out what catagory their truck falls into. Weather it be:

Original > as in never been wrecked, frame off, or repainted, but normal maintainance.
Rebuilt > as in major body/chassis repairs and or repainted.
Restored > as in trucks like Heath's and Doug Bensens that took years to redo.

My F series are all Original class trucks. The Moosetang I would consider Rebuilt.

The hood on the Moose Truck came from usbodysource.com and you can still get them I'm pretty sure. It's one piece fiberglass. They also sell whole tilt front-ends for these trucks if you want fiberglass fenders too.

I am in the process of a rebuild... kinda. It will not be a restoration for sure.

Dang close to six. But, I could only work on it during breaks in my education/training. It would have been done faster if I had more time and of course more money. Dad was a huge help for me as he would work of things when he had the time.

Oh yeah, it would be a "Restored" truck.:D

Original 87 f-250. 190k miles. 3rd motor. 3rd owner. Last owner put in a 7.3 to up the power, then i bought it and blew it up by towing with the wastegate unplugged. Now i've put in a 6.9 and am very happy.
