backstory is I swapped a PCM from a 2000 auto truck into my E99 with the zf6.

Unbelievable how much better the truck runs with the newer PCM coding.

I am running a hydra chip with programming for the DAC3 calibration.

The only "quirk" that I have noticed is this.

With the old PCM, in gear and coasting the injectors are off until the truck comes down to idle speed.

With the new PCM, in gear and coasting the injectors are off until about 1200 rpm. From there they are at "idle speed injection" if that makes sense. They are not powering the truck but do influence the coasting ability while in gear (further).

I am thinking about grounding the purple/yellow wire at the harness plug for the TC lock just to see if it would make a difference.

I know that in theory the hydra chip should be overriding the PCM but to me it acts like the PCM thinks the TC is unlocked hence the reason for fueling above idle when coasting below 1200 rpm.

I'd love to hear the thoughts on others who have tried this swap or have gone from an auto to manual transmission while retaining the auto PCM.

Thanks.
