When I hit the brakes in my truck they make a grinding noise and vibration of some sort, it does not happen if you hit the brakes softly. The sound seems like it's comming from in front of the firewall or something but not directly from the wheels. The sound and vibration will happen until the truck stops. The vibration and noise does not change with speed, just a constant noise. Also, if I come to a stop with it doing this then go in reverse it will make the sound for a few seconds then stop.

The discs and pads are brand new, this is the first time the truck has seen the road since I got it as a project truck.

Before the brake job the rear brake line was plugged with a machine screw, they are now functioning and the rear brakes are all new.

Also, the pedal seems spungy and will go to the floor if you sit there and push on it hard while the truck is stopped.

Could this be due to the RABS valve? I think my ABS light is on.

Any ideas, it's an odd one???

Thanks,

-Rob
