Are the door skins all the same? I need a passenger door for my truck. It has the big swing out towing mirrors. The door has holes under the top mirror mount, that is covered up by a piece of rubber trim. IF I find a door with the small mirrors(not the ones with the lower mounting holes), can I use that door and add the hole for the bottom mount?

You should surely be OK in the 94-97 model years...... and I suspect that the early 90's are all the same also but I cant quote that one with a ton of confidence.

They should be all the same from '87 to '97... but the '87-'91's have different vent windows (I think). The rest is the same. As long as you get a replacement door with the small mirrors, you should be able to replace them with the big towing mirrors.

the doors will interchange from 83-97.but there are some slight changes to the skins and the frames.in 92 0r 93 they started to put a small crease in the bottom of the skin.if your door is from 92-97 and your truck is 92-97 the tow mirrors will bolt right on,just need to drill the bottom 2 holes for the supports.the 87-91 dors need the 87-91 mirrors wich will bolt right on but still need to drill the bottom holes.you will have to modify the top bolt holes to use 92-97 mirrors on the 87-91 doors and vice-versa.92-97 uses 2 bolts on the top bracket and 87-91 uses 3 bolts on the top bracket.i believe 83-86 use the same mirror as 87-91.the were some slight differences in the frames as well but nothing that affects the fit and functionality between the 3 year sets.make sure you use your windows if its 92-97.83-91 use the same vent windows.92-97 have thier own vent windows.

Rich, thanks for the great info. How much work is involved making a non power door a powered door?

Cool! can i reuse the rubber from my 97 or will i need to use the 84?
the rubbers are different if you're going from std fixed glass to slider. non-oem sliders usually use the fixed glass rubber.
yes, the body openings are the same.

I never really like the slider (they never seem to lock) I pulled a solid one out of an 84 some 2 or 3 years ago. Still got it and the rubber too. I thought I could just boil the rubber to soften it and then reuse it? My 97 is a stock slider.
