I have my source for oil. A friend that's a owner of a Japanese restaurant. Thinking I'll be using about 50 gallons per month, though he said I can take more if I want. ;Sweet

I do have a few questions about extracting from the source, transporting it, refining it for use and storage.

First question is dealing with sucking the oil from the restaurant. This seems like a good option:

I do have a concern as it says Max. Suction Lift (ft.): 6 1/2. I wouldn't be lifting the oil, more so pulling it horozontially (around 40 feet, I figured). Would this pump still be ok or be a problem?

Transporting it was the next issue. I was thinking of just mounting one of these tanks in the bed of my truck closest to the cab:

For the refining part, I have no idea where to start. I've seen most guys run a 3 filter setup (20micron,10micron then 1micron), that seems the way to go. Yet i'm stuck as to where to get the filters, filter heads and lines/fittings. Plus how to mount/set it up. I was thinking of possibly making a plastic tote into the "filtering house" (store the filters inside the closed tote with a hole on each side for entry/exit).

I was thinking of a smaller storage tank to be mounted in the bed that would be used to hold the finished/ready to burn oil:

I've actually made a picture to show my idea:

As you can see, I'd like to keep this mobile. For one, I don't have the spare room in the garage. Second, I like it cause then I'll be able to get WVO anywhere I drive the truck. :D Please let me know what you guys think!

i think the problem you are going to run into is the lack of space you have/amount of space the filter setup is going to take up.

the only thing i can think of to save space is a spin on filter then onto house filters but then i would run it through at least one more time
