I have a 92 dodge d250 with auto trans w/od button , the tranny as you all know will down shift when you floor the accelerator , is there anyway that can be bypassed so that when it is floored it wont do that ? Also my speedo works but the odometer quit does anyone know the fix for that or is there someone out there that repairs them ? thanks

    That's it's intended function.

Sounds like you're trying to blow smoke?.....

No desire to blow smoke , just find it very annoying while driving if i have to pass someone and the truck downshifts and cant gain enough speed to overcome the vehicle i am trying to pass . This a nice stock truck and i wanna keep it that way , im well aware thats the intended function but i am not happy with it thats all . thanks for the reply but what i am looking for is a way to make the tranny work without the intended function .

    Good.
You may see if you can "tune" the transmission.
