Been so long since I timed an idi I forgot to rev it up to 2k while checking it. I checked and adjusted based on idle. DOH.
Tomorrow is another day

Who knew these things didn't like 16* of time. Lol.
She's happy now actually at 8.5*

And I had a nice driveline vibration I remedied.

Yokes out of phase and a little ear broken off the trans yoke.
You have a better chance of seeing Jesus in a yard around here so I couldn't just go get a yoke. So I welded a small bit of an Allen wrench to the strap to retain the joint cap.

I finally got around to throwing an ip on the old girl.
It had a bad flat spot at 2200 and it was just a real dog.
So I threw on a reman pump from a 7.3 turbo that I had laying around.
She woke right up. Starts easier. Engine is quieter. I can pull out in second. Lots more pep. Like a truck with 5.13 gears should be.
Can't wait till my next hook.
