As the title states, I need information on how to pull the oil pan from a 1991 7.3 idi. I have went by the Haynes manual with no success. Engine has been jacked up and resting against the underneath side of the body. Manual does not state anything about removing the oil pump and pick up tube, but I beleive that this would be the only way to get it out.

Also what is the proper oil pressure for this motor at 2000 rpm, mine has shown about 37 lbs by the after-market pressure gauge, I added after the turbo oil feed.

37lbs sounds spot on. I thought the factory manual says that you do indeed have to remove the sump amd let it drop into the oil pan for removal.

Ok great Iwon't replace the pump after all, I had read somewhere that it was suppose to be somewhere between 40 and 70 psi for 3300 rpm, so I thought that 37 was a little low.

Just my luck, with dropping the pump, didn't really want to do that, but oh well...

Thanks again
