I'm pretty sure that's a standard '80-'86 F-Series tailgate...they changed the setup considerably between '86 and '87; an '87-'97 tailgate will not fit an '80-'86 truck.

It'd be nice to see some more pictures of that tailgate...I THINK it's in better shape than mine, but my tailgate is basically in two pieces...it still opens and closes, but I'm afraid to put any weight on it...
