CUMMINS 8.3L C SERIES PERFORMANCE INJECTORS
THIS IS A SET OF 6 REBUILT PERFORMANCE INJECTORS WITH THE INSTALLATION KIT FOR THE 8.3L C-SERIES CUMMINS DIESEL ENGINES. THESE INJECTORS WILL FIT THE 12 VALVE 8.3L C-SERIES CUMMINS ENGINES THROUGH 1997. THESE INJECTORS WILL INCREASE THE HORSEPOWER OF THESE ENGINES BY ABOUT 60-80 HP, AND WILL DO SO WITHOUT ANY BLACK EXHAUST SMOKE, AND WITHOUT CREATING ANY EXCESS EXHAUST TEMPERATURE. HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT THESE INJECTORS WILL DO: I SENT A FORD L8000 CEMENT TRUCK OUT OF OUR FACILITY A FEW MONTHS AGO. THIS TRUCK HAD A GVW RATING OF 52,000 LBS. THIS TRUCK HAD AN ENGINE RATED AT 275 HP/ 860 FT-LBS OF TORQUE WITH AN ALLISON AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THERE IS A LONG HILL OUTSIDE OF OUR FACILITY, AND STARTING OUT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL, I COULD ONLY CREST THE HILL AT 35 MPH WHEN THIS TRUCK FIRST ARRIVED. AFTER I INSTALLED THESE PERFORMANCE INJECTORS IN THIS TRUCK, I COULD CREST THE HILL AT 45 MPH WITHOUT ANY BLACK SMOKE. AFTER CHANGING THE TORQUE PLATE IN THE INJECTION PUMP, I COULD CREST THE HILL AT 55 MPH WITHOUT ANY BLACK SMOKE. THE ONLY OTHER MODIFICATION I MADE TO THIS ENGINE WAS DISENGAGING THE TURBOCHARGER WASTEGATE. I ALSO SENT ANOTHER FORD L8000 DUMP TRUCK WITH AN EATON ROADRANGER TRANSMISSION OUT OF OUR FACILITY RECENTLY. THIS TRUCK WAS ALSO RATED AT 275 HP/ 860 FT-LBS OF TORQUE. THIS TRUCK WOULD ONLY CREST THE HILL AT 48 MPH WHEN IT FIRST ARRIVED. AFTER INSTALLING THESE PERFORMANCE INJECTORS AND DISENGAGING THE TURBOCHARGER WASTEGATE, THIS TRUCK CRESTED THE HILL AT 63 MPH, WITH NO BLACK EXHAUST SMOKE. THE REASON WHY I REBUILD INJECTORS INSTEAD OF SELLING NEW INJECTORS IS THAT NEW INJECTORS WILL LOSE 200-300 PSI OF OPENING PRESSURE WITHIN THE FIRST COUPLE THOUSAND MILES OR FIRST COUPLE HUNDRED HOURS OF OPERATION DUE TO THE INJECTOR SPRINGS BREAKING IN. THE INJECTOR SPRINGS DO NOT ALL BREAK IN EVENLY, SO YOU GET A PRESSURE VARIANCE FROM INJECTOR TO INJECTOR. REBUILT INJECTORS STAY AT THE PRESSURE THEY ARE SET AT BECAUSE THE SPRINGS ARE ALREADY BROKEN IN. I ALSO MAKE OTHER MODIFICATIONS TO THESE INJECTORS THAT RESULT IN A LOT LESS STRESS BEING PUT ON THE INJECTION PUMP. THESE INJECTORS WILL ALSO INJECT FUEL INTO THE CYLINDERS QUICKER THAN STOCK INJECTORS. ON ENGINES THAT ARE RUN UNDER A PARTIAL LOAD, A FUEL ECONOMY INCREASE CAN BE REALIZED WITH THESE PERFORMANCE INJECTORS INSTALLED. ALTHOUGH THESE INJECTORS ARE REBUILT, THEY LOOK LIKE BRAND NEW. THESE INJECTORS INCLUDE THE INSTALLATION KIT, AND COME WITH A ONE YEAR WARRANTY. I ALSO HAVE CUSTOM FUEL INJECTION PUMP TORQUE PLATES AVAILABLE FOR THESE ENGINES, FOR EVEN MORE HORSEPOWER YET. THE COMBINATION OF THESE PERFORMANCE INJECTORS WITH OUR CUSTOM FUEL INJECTION PUMP TORQUE PLATE WILL ALLOW THE 8.3L CUMMINS ENGINES TO MAKE 400 + HP, WITHOUT PRODUCING ANY BLACK EXHAUST SMOKE. NOTE: JUST WANTED TO LEAVE A CUSTOMER FEEDBACK. A GENTLEMAN FROM CALIFORNIA JUST PURCHASED A SET OF THESE INJECTORS FOR HIS 1994 DIESEL PUSHER MOTORHOME WITH A 300 HP ENGINE. HE HAD PURCHASED A BANKS STINGER SYSTEM AND HAD IT INSTALLED, BUT WAS RATHER DISAPPOINTED WITH THE POWER INCREASE THE BANKS SYSTEM GAVE HIM FOR THE $2400 PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION PRICE. THE BANKS SYSTEMS ARE SUPPOSED TO INCREASE THE POWER BY 75 HP AND 171 FT-LBS OF TORQUE, BUT EVEN WITH THIS BANKS KIT INSTALLED, THE MOTORHOME STILL STRUGGLED ON HILLS. HE PURCHASED A SET OF INJECTORS FROM US, AND IS ABSOLUTELY TICKLED WITH THE POWER HIS MOTORHOME HAS NOW. HE REPORTED THAT THE THROTTLE RESPONSE IS A LOT BETTER, AND THAT THE MOTORHOME ACCELERATES LIKE A CAR FROM A DEAD STOP. HIS TURBO BOOST INCREASED FROM 31 PSI BEFORE INSTALLING THE INJECTORS TO 39-40 PSI WITH THESE INJECTORS. HE REPORTED NO BLACK EXHAUST SMOKE UNDER THROTTLE.
