You can use a dowel or thinner bolt to gauge length too. I'm sure someone will chime in with pitch and length soon, plus it's probably only partially threaded an inch or so on the shank.

Well after some digging and looking and some advice from the fb group, looks like 3/8 and 7/16 with a 16 pitch but after further inspection i beleive the wrong bracket may be on my truck. Took some picks as it sits one hole does not line up with the block hole and i am missing several, good thing is i somehow have one 3/8 short bolt from something that will fit one of the short holes. I can get the extra long bolts off ebay..
Best thing is to take this thing apart compressor off and start there.. oh the stuff we get into with these old beasts but gotta love'em.
These are the power steering and A/C bracket bolts

Finally able to get the A/C compressor off and look at the brackets better, im pretty sure this bracket does not go on this 7.3.
I have one bolt hole in the bracket that does not line up with the hole in the block.. i took more pics.
Does anyone know if 6.9 brackets are different or i may be off a gasser.. i just know it sure as heck does not fit correctly....
Not zure on the pics if u can tell or not, a tight spot to get a pic at..
Thanks everyone..

Man, I'll look and try to take a picture in the morning. That almost looks right, but almost doesn't.

As long as we're talking about V belts, 6.9s and 7.3s use the same brackets. It looks right to me. Which bolt isn't lining up?

Okay, you're missing a bolt. Your bracket is right but I think it's cockeyed or something. I tried to take pictures to replicate your pictures..

Okay I studied it to death. The cast aluminum bracket on yours is cockeyed for some reason. If you loosen stuff up you'll be able to line the hole up and put a bolt through it.

thanks a bunch.. on your 2nd pic i am missing the really long bolt, i can get those of ebay.. i picked up some 2" 3/8-16 bolts at tractor and a pack of 1" as well.. hopefully the 2" fit where the bolts thread into the Block..
Thank you Jesus Freak, helps alot...

They go into the head. I noticed in your first picture that you are missing one or both of the bolts that mount the aluminum bracket to the head. If those holes aren't lined up, nothing else will be lined up correctly.
thats exactly what i have hopefully the bolts i picked up are long enough and not to long.. i will try and loosen it was so cold yesterday i couldn't hardly wrench here and windy so we will see..

Thanks IDIBRONCO... i appreciate the help and to everyone..

That's my assessment. The aluminum bracket is the culprit.
