I have better luck with motor oil. I have had terminals with grease still corrode, they get a thick black coating on them that has to be scraped off with a knife. When I change my own oil, and have a few drips left in the bottle, I move over and let it drip a couple drips on each terminal. I do this at each oil change, and it works well. The oil seems to work itself down in the cracks and crevises better than the grease does.
