I am original owner of 98 1/2 Dodge 24valve, 183000 miles, A/T, A/C,

Symptom:
As it reached operating temp, oil pressure gauge on dash crashed to zero, (no unusual engine noises), parked immediately-oil level ok on stick. Next am, oil gauge read normal till operating temp reached then crashed to zero (no unusual noises from engine), When again cold it never worked again.

I suspected pressure sensor, purchased same,

However, not being a professional mechanic, I cannot find it on engine. reference book puts it just back of power steering pump--just blank crankcase wall there.

Where is that oil pressure sensor located? :dunno

its just the pressure sender

there is a 1/8" NPT tap on the polished side of the oil filter head.......tap that and take a mechanical gage to it to give ya the warm fuzzies
