So I was on my way to work in laughlin this afternoon I get to Nothing, az and ironically my truck has nothing. I had the cruise set at 75 and started to loose speed, no big deal it has turned off the cruise on it's own before, so I try to kick her in the guts...no go, I look at the gauges and all is normal except the tach falls to zero. I did some checking and I've got good voltage, my fuel pump is operating correctly, after about a 20second crank it reads normal oil pressure, but I pulled the IIRC icp sensor (top front of the passenger side valve cover) and had a guy crank it for roughly 3 seconds and only got a dribble of oil. My guess is hpop, but with no access to a scanner I am sort of swinging blind, any ideas?

Well the verdict is in, there is a screen on the inlet of the ipr, it sound like a common problem with it getting plugged up them you are stuck on the side of the road, but mine went as far as to blow the screen into the regulator section.
