Figured that would get some attention.
When I opened up the 97 Cummins on my 97 truck to do the KDP, I found it missing (engine runs great). The front cover is not cracked. However, this engine leaks oil like crazy and I can't really tell where from, but it doesn't appear to be around the front cover.
When the KDP pops out and nocks holes in stuff, does it do it in the front cover that I already have off, or is it in the thicker cover that the KDP actually helps align? It appears there might be a hairline crack below the KDP hole but I'm not sure. Wondering if this is where my leak is coming from?
