Alot of the new 6.0's seem to be having the problem. Not sure what it is caused by? My 7.3 does it also. It gets better when I run 10-30 instead of 15-40 in the winter months.
Well, I am a "new 6.0 guy" and found it interesting that the sythetic oil solved the problem for me... Maybe its normal for the PS to do it. But the topic became hot in 03 when ford actually had a flash to fix it. When ford did tha, most people believe that it must be a problem, since ford was trying to cure it... This is also great info for anyone new to diesels and owns the 6.0....
