Alright guys , I need your opinion ...

I found a 6.2 in a vehicle for $1,000. It was wrecked in to a curb and bent the wheels , smashed windshield and broke the grill.
It has a banks turbo , new batteries , new water pump , new 4 row aluminum radiator. Im thinking about just buying it and tossing the engine in mine.

Video of it running :

What do you guys think ? After parting it out and scrapping it I could get the engine for less than it would cost to put mine back together ..

I dropped the heads off today to get checked out. I will be picking up the other 6.2 next week. If my heads turn out to be good I will toss new gaskets on it and keep it as a spare I guess. From everything I hear about these it would be smart to have a spare 6.2 haha.

Just adapt a 6.9-7.3 to that 4l80, I think it might be possible with an "ultra bell":sly

That would definitely be a cool swap ! I ran across a suburban on craigs with a cummins in it for less than what I have in mine , haha. Hindsight sucks. And apparently no one makes 6.2 heads anymore so that really sucks .. Im going to pick up that other engine and hope it lasts awhile. I may sell it after I finish it. I havent had much luck with chevys :)

I rented a car and drove up to Portland to pick up the suburban last weekend. The seller said it was driveable but it wasn't .... so I left it and came home empty handed. Im so over this thing. I think I'm going to pick up a 454 and toss it in and sell it...

A 454 is as bulletproof as it can get. Maybe the 350 is a more bulletproof than that but hell. Everybody sells speed parts for those engines.

I found a donor vehicle with a fuel injected 454. Going to check it out tomorrow. I wouldnt be able to afford to drive it but im sure it would sell easier. A 454 should bolt to my 4l80 right ?

Yes, do you plan on using the computer and all to keep the 454 injected and use the 4l80? What year tbi 454? The mpg may surprise you.
