Well tomorrow I am meeting my Dad and brother in Merritt so I get to take the coquihalla unloaded for the first time ever. This truck has always had a trailer on its whole life with me when taking this hill.

So lets see how my 4 spd with 410's work in this case. I am pretty excited about the trip! I'll be passing everything if I want to!

I'll take then include pictures once I am back.

I'll be bringing the usual spare stuff and tools with me of course and I have a buddy who can bail me out on alert if something does go sideways. But this little 2 hour trip should be just a nice fun run up the mountain for us!

;Really:D;Sweet

Sounds like fun, good luck on that trip. Ya the Coq can be a ride, I've only done the Connector never Merrit to Van.

Pics would be good too btw,

Unloaded on this trip, I was getting about 14-15mpg. 4th gear all the way up at about 1/2 throttle. Not bad for the screaming 2500rpm the poor ol girl has to do with the gearing she has.

Thanks for the great pics. Funny how the weather can change so quickly on you. Yes.. Snow is cold when it gets into your boosts... But you guys made some memories playing in the snow. Nice looking rig too. Glad the trip was an easy trip with no mechanical issues.. That makes any road trip that much better..

What is that white stuff? ;Really

I always enjoy a good hill...although not so much in my truck, the poor 351 doesn't like it.

Thanks! It's been about 3 years of work getting the truck to this point. But it will haul or pull anything I want it to. It barely noticed the hills which is a nice change.

I hear ya on the "what's the white stuff" cause we have had nothing for a winter this year.

Nice pics, glad ya had some fun with daughter. Funny how they want something then realize oops...too cold:rotflmao

Nice to hear that the trip was uneventful and that you got good mileage too. Sounds like that truck pulls decent.

One day I'll do the Coq just so I can say I did it!LOL

For now I've no reason to though since the Hope Princeton way is quicker for me.

Maybe sometime you'll get up this way and we can do some backroads n such and have some fun.
