heres the dealio. my moms boyfriend has a 1998 dodge ram 3500 220,000 kms give or take. they just got it about 2 months ago. it is an auto and not sure when any trans work was done. but it is hunting at around 80 km/h. my guess is it is the torque converter locking and unlocking. he says it only happens at about 80. any slower nothing and any faster nothing. the TC stays locked any speed after 80. but i remember from my dodge it is 80 that the tc locks. under load or not. any ideas?

I know the BD noise Isolator has solved some transmission jumping issues. Let me see if i can find the thread on cumminsforum about it with a write up. Im not a big auto tranny person but i remember seeing the thread here a while back.
