Its been sitting for several years, finally got it to bust off, after it ran for about 15 seconds and died, I had noticed a different tone, then when I was turning it over again, I noticed the huffing that I hadn’t noticed before....

Collapsed lifter. Don't worry about it - Once the engine is running and built up oil pressure it should go away after a minute or two.

Yup. Bad valve guides/valves not seating is not uncommon, but its more likely a sticking lifter. Some run time with fresh oil and maybe some oil additive of your choice (MMO, Rislone etc) and there is a good chance that it will clear up. It may take some time tho
