How to find engine build date on '97 PSD?

Just wondering, is there an easy way to find my ENGINE build date on my 1997 PSD?

Really?
Must be the site.

Hpop could have been changed.
I was told mine was a lower mileage engine that hadn't had much work.
When I cleaned it off, I find it was rebuilt.

Thanks, but I am not looking for the truck build date, but the engine build date. I am trying to order a new exhaust backpressure tube. Apparently, there were 2 different EBPV Tubes for 1997 PSD, and I am trying to ascertain whether I have the early 1997 or the late 1997 engine. The tube is rotted off, so no clues there either.

I couldn't find nothing but a couple codes on the engine tag, i guess i will check the HPOP next time it gets above 0* outside. Thanx.

most of the trucks Ive seen the engine date is a month of 2 before the body
