for the moment my truck will not start unless the block heater is plugged in or if i use starting fluid...so i want to temporarily disable the stock glow plug relay so that the gp's do NOT turn on when i turn the key on.
i have a momentary switch on the dash and another relay under the hood for a manual glow plug system, and this has a heavy wire that goes to the large post on the stock glow plug relay (the one that has the wavy piece of metal attached to it) which then goes to the glow plugs.
so, i don't want to remove the stock relay, just remove the correct wire that would prevent the key switch from activating the glow plugs.
when/if i get this problem solved i will put it back in place as normal.

does anyone know which wire i would have to disconnect in order to do this? I need to be certain the gp's are not hot when i have to use starting fluid.

thanks!
paul
