my oldest is my 89 F450 carrier purchased in 1993.
the Nostromo in 2004.
the Sulaco in 2010.
those are my "notable" trucks. I own many more, but the acquisition dates are a blur now.

I bought smokey in 2008 and now that I have the new truck, I'm trying to figure out what to do with her. Thinking I may just pull the engine and send her down the road, no room for extra vehicles at our house.

I inherited my truck on April 30th, 2001. The truck was sitting at my uncle's house in the Mojave Desert in Southern California and needed a bit of work before she was road-worthy. Got her home in early July '01.

My first foray into the Ford IDI world was in October 2000, when I bought an '84 E-350 van. The van was a great rig (other than being a law enforcement magnet  ), but after inheriting the truck I couldn't justify two vehicles that large, so I sold her in June 2002.

As to my current daily driver, I took possession of my '01 Jetta in May 2011.

Back in September 2011 I was browsing on craigslist for a diesel truck when I found this truck for sale. Within 5 minutes, I called PO, went to bank and drove an hour up to Red Bluff to check it out and give him a deposit to hold it for me. It has been a great truck ever since.

I purchased Air Force One (that is what my wife named the truck when I got it) in June, 2010. A dealer in Detroit had purchased it from Air Force surplus down south and brought it up north to sell in the salt belt. I found it advertised on line and it said it had a 7.3 diesel. Figured it must be a Powerstroke. When I called about it, the dealer told me there was not a turbo on it and it was an IDI. After some haggling, I flew across the big pond called Lake Michigan and drove it home. My wife wanted nothing to do with driving to Detroit to get my truck and driving back. The plane ride was more fun anyway and not much more cost considering the cost of gas. Ahh, just another one of life's little adventures that has turned out pretty darn well - not all of them do!
