Well I got to thinking the other day. How it was odd that both engines have trouble taking off in 2nd gear. Both the old 7.3 and even the new 6.9 does. So on my drive home the other day I tested my theory, and sure enough I was right.

Do you guys think that both front calipers locked down would cause a difficult take off? One of the rotors was completely worn through to the vents on the back side, and the other rotor had the inside pad worn at an angle all the way to the piston face (only one piston on that side was locked up). cookoo

Tell ya what, replacing both rotors, calipers, brake pads and inner seals is a pretty easy way to kill $500 at the parts store. They decided to give my dad and I hats today, they thought it was so funny.

Usually the reason calipers do that is the brake hose swell on the inside and the pressure can't make its way back to the system. Or the caliper can't slide on pins because of rust and dirt on them.... You did replace the hoses... I hope..
