2003 dodge 24 valve cummins. Code 341 cam sensor, every time checked (ok). Set pressure 5300psi at idle, actual fuel 4900 to 6200 psi, snap throttle in neutral or in gear set psi goes to 16000psi and actual drops to 1200psi stumble small puff of black smoke, and then goes 16000psi and runs fine. Retorqued the connecter tubes no help. Lift pump psi and flow good. Pressure limiting valve not leaking. Local dealer has never sold a fuel control solenoid. Any ideas out there. PS. truck has 235,000 miles original injectors.

No corrosion on pins, Have heard of cam thrust bearings wearing on high miliage engines letting the cam walk back and fourth, which might set the cam code, but i dont think that is causing my stumble problem since you have to drive the truck quite a while before the code comes back and it stumbles every time you take off.
