My buddy and I are trying too figure out what's wrong with his truck.he has a95 Chevy suburban with a 6.5. Tran worked good before then revo went out. He got the whole Tran rebuilt and it worked for a while. Now when truck is cold... He can shift fine through all the gears. (stock auto tranny) when it warms up, only 2nd gear works. And revo. Has replaced everything. Ignition wiring, ecm. Cannot figure what is wrong. Internal sensors were said to be replaced. Please help! Thanks in advanced

2nd gear is limp mode, What does the scan tool tell you? (codes)

Haven't gotten it tested yet. Was wondering if it could be a turbo Wastegate or something. Like it don't let it shift cuz too much boost or something. When he takes off really slow...it shifts.otherwise not. But always goes to limp mode

What type of transmission is it? 1st gear has to work to get second in any automatic.

Don't know about Chevies, but most automatics get a signal from a VSS and/or a tach sensor. Check those out

the gm system uses 2 speed sensors in the trans, and if its 4x4 another in the t case. also uses engine speed and throttle position. All has to work perfectly for the trans to operate normally.
