it does intermidently but it doesnt do it all the time. some days it does it others it doesnt and it usually doesnt do it unless i romp on it hard. but i cant read to code to figure out what it is

You know anybody that has a code reader or SCMT that would be willing to lend a hand?

If there's a local diesel shop they may be friendly enough to pull the code for you. Also, ask around. Lost of folks have tuners and nothign else so you never know. If there's another stroke oenwer a a gas station, ask them and tell them you'll give them $5 if they will hook their programmer up and pull the code for you. Worth a try.
