Good deal???

Im looking for my first diesel ive been looking for about three or four months and i think I have finally found a good deal its a 1991 cummins it has 215000 miles 4x4, auto tranny with all new lines and fluids he says it doesnt slip at all.it has the fuel turned up slightly and 50 hp injectors 5" turnout stacks new front drive shaft and everything works fine and no leaks he is asking 4000 obo I just wanted to run it by some people and get your opinion so tell me what you think,

What kind of issue prompted new lines/fluid? Why point out that it diesn't slip?

Sometimes TMI is a telltale sign of not enough.

I asked him about he didnt just come out and tell me also the same about the driveshaft

As Kevin said it sounds about right but without seeing it.....

Now as for the new fluid - if he keeps up on maintenance then I would expect to find all new fluids. I believe that in order to make an auto tranny last one needs to follow my motto... A cool, clean, changed often fluid is a happy fluid. I maybe all wet but it has worked for me in the past.

I bought a 91 intercooled dually with a 5 speed with 175,000 on it for $1800.

I noticed that the tranny is all bright and shiny and has all new gaskets so it looks like it was gone through.
