Fuel problem in 85

What the problem seems to be is the fuel.

I go to start it will fire for a second then quit. After this I have to crank a lot to get it to fire. after it fires up semms to run fine. does not matter wether cold or hot. Just the amount of time setting.

I figure this is a air leak in the system before the IP. What are the most common places for air to get in?

There are several posts on air intrusion, here at OB. What you described, sounds exactly like air intrusion.
