personally i use atf @10$cad/gal to a tank of fuel prior to each oilchange. i find it runs smoother, engine temp slightly higher under load though no real change in egt. id still call myself a novice to the idi but i recall reading that these motors enjoy running on atf. cant hurt can it?
biodiesel @ 1% will improve fuel lubricity without harming seals ect.
being a biodiesel tech i can say that BD is more suceptable to organic breakdown..... you could actually drink pure methyl ester, i dont advise it though lol
also users of b5-20 from the station pumps be advised. a study was conducted at random stations across the us. they tested what was really coming out of the pump, they found that the "b20" you were buying could be anywhere from b2 - b80! biodiesel and ulsd ARE IMMISCIBLE meaning given enough time they will separate.
sorry for the off topic sorta....since bd is sold as an additive.
beware production residues can and will destroy a diesel from the tank all the way to the turbo and cat....if so equipped
