Are the front leafs from a gasser F350 4x4 the same as a diesel? I just got a set from a '96 F350 with a 5.8 and was wondering if they'd work in my truck, I still have my original springs from the TTB in there still.

I think they are the same but im not positive, someone who knows will come in eventually. im pretty sure that even if their not the same they will still ride better than the ttb springs with the 60. doubt that helps you any tho :D

I do believe they are different, heck the IDI weighs twice what that small block weighs.

They'll work fine. I'm swapping the axles in my F350 (6.9) with another 86 F350 (460) and the springs are the same. His sit ever so slightly positive arched, while mine is heading into the negative arch territory thanks to time, abuse and engine weight.

EDIT: And thank you Diesel Brad for the comment below. That's why I love forums; Learn something new every day.;Sweet

The ones I got from the small block F350 have 2 springs per pack, how many do the diesel ones have?

Like goose said. just 2. Anything more than 2 and someone added to it. 80-97 2 leafs were all you could get from the factory. Big block, diesel, small block, F250, F350, F350 cab-n-chassis, F-superduty ALL HAD 2 leafs. Only way to tell what spring they are is by looking at the door jamb sticker, but then over the years they could have been swapped
