i want to put on a noisier muffler just for the sound. but if a bigger exhaust from turbo gives better egt and performance i might as well spend the extra but im having a hard time beliving that a 5.9 liter engine needs more than 3.5 in exhaust pipe does any know the formula for figuring exhaust flow at rated rpm and what does stock exhaust flow. also i heard that the elbow out of the turbo is only 3.20in and banks makes a bigger elbow for a stock horsepower truck do i need more than just a muffler :thanks:

You probably don't "need" a larger exhaust. But with that said, it sounds good!

If you are going to add fuel, go up to 4". If you are staying stock, leave the pipe alone and cut off the ****. More noise and no worries about replacing the pipe.
