Ford F-250 6.9 diesel fuel tank problems

My 1987 f250 with the 6.9 idi will not switch tanks. It only uses fuel from the rear tank. It also reads the same for both tanks when you switch.

Sounds like a bad valve. First stupid question, have you crawled under it and looked at the valve? On mine it was pretty much tucked up behind the front of the front tank.

First thing I would do is have the truck on but not running and have someone flip the switch a few times while you listen near the valve and see if you hear anything.

Second I'd unhook the plug and check for power to the valve.
