Hey Folks,

Running a lot of diesel machines here on the farm between trucks and tractors. We run a couple of Massey Ferguson (1080 and 35) Perkins diesels, a 2005 Ram 3500 Dually Cummins and a newly acquired 1990 Ford F250 7.3 idi.

The new Ford was bought (cheap) as a known hard starter with 350,000kms. Seller figured it needed injectors. I have gone ahead and ordered injectors, glow plugs and a new return line kit. Should arrive next week. When I get into all that, I am sure I will be hitting the forum hard.

I commented on the other forum.
Everyone here will ask the same I asked about brand, etc.
And welcome. This is the best ford idi site you'll find.

Thanks...again. This place seems to be a whole lot more active indeed.

Based on a search over there, seems these are Diesel Rx glow plugs. At least they're not Autolite I guess.

Motordraft /Beru glow plugs are the only glow plugs you should use. Al the others will swell and that makes removing them difficult. Glad you found this forum. Great place for the 6.9 and 7.3 Ford Diesels.
