Well about two weeks ago I bought a 1994 F350 CC dually. Its one of those Show truck usa conversions with the leather seats and woodgrain(although the seats are cracked and torn and the wood grain is lacking) 147,000 miles, zf5, 4.10 gears, two wheel drive. no dents, no dings, some clear coat peel on a dually fender, no tailgate..... Everything is in real good shape, Ive put a new battery and the radiator is getting some leaks fixed now.. I paid $3250 for the truck. I want to put some 3.73 gears or 3.55 any input on those?

So it's a centurion truck?
I missed if you posted this in the PSD or IDI forum.
Sounds like a good deal.

On the gears it all depends, you going to do any towing? How much weight?

Its like a centurion truck only its "show trucks usa"... Its a Powerstroke. I do towing, mostly a 4 horse gooseneck featherlite stock trailer (3900 empty).. mainly with 2-4 horses in it.. but will tow some heavier trailers of equipment and hay from time to time. but like 10 times a year not everyday.

I have a 1988 ford ranger (4cyl 5spd) That i drive to work and back.. so this truck is going to be for hauling, towing, Date nights, beach trips ect.. but id like to be able to take it on road trips too virginia and such with out drinking down too much fuel.

Being the zf trans, you could probably get by with the 3.55's, but 3.73's would be best for all around heavier towing and highway mileage.

My 94 single cab f350 psd 4x4 4.10's with a big heavy flatbed gets about 15 mpg, but I don't drive conservatively.
I plan on doing the 3.73's.
I haven't towed much with it.

My 88 f250 7.3 idi extended cab zf-5 has the 3.55's, I liked the way it drove better than the 4.10's. But I guess I can't compare an idi to a psd.

also with the 355 gears and automatic trans you can pull a steep grade right at 1800 rpms MAX TORQUE .... with the 410s as you have now you are at about 23-2500 rpms
