Well crap. I think I found the source of my engine miss. I changed the fuel filter last night and this is what I found. This element only has 8000 miles on it and the last three filter changes have also looked like this.

Don't know if I have bugs in the tank or if it is because of the regulated fuel mod is circulating more fuel. Maybe it's oil leaking past an injector oring.

Anybody else seeing this???

Runs much better after filter change but still has the miss. Not bad enough of others in the truck to notice but I do.

You definately have a dirty filter. I normally change mine between 12K & 15K and the worst it's been is a dark ice tea color. If it were me I would be considering dropping the tank and cleaning it.

I had a miss in mine which turned out to be the wire harness connection under the valve covers but when that happened anyone could tell I had a miss. Your miss being minor almost sounds like air. Don't know if you look at TDS but alot of people have posted problems they have had with the fuel system sucking air. Just a thought. Good Luck!

That is pretty bad. Did you get your oil analized...there may be some fuel in the oil, that will help troubleshoot. What other fuel mods do you have?
